Dr. Madhuri was an adjunct professor in Emory University, School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics. She is presently an adjunct professor at Georgia Institute of Technology. She is a co-founder of Organization of Rare Disorders (ORDI), India. Dr. Hegde has published over 120 articles in national and international journals. She has represented as a scientific expert on ACLU vs Myraid and 4 additional commercial and clinical case trials.
