Dr. Dixit is a Senior Scientist at the Centre for Translational Cancer Research (CTCR), a joint initiative between Prashanti Cancer Care Mission, Pune and Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune.

At CTCR, Dr. Dixit is actively involved in the design and conduct of translational breast cancer research projects themed on breast oncoplastic surgery, radiology, genetics, chemotherapy, radiation oncology, integrative oncology and public health. In collaboration with onco-clinicians at Orchids Breast Health Centre, he is instrumental in the establishment and daily operations of the genetic and cancer risk reduction clinic.Dr. Dixit has over 12 years of experience in translational biomedical research with special emphasis on preclinical and clinical drug development. His research interests also include clinical pharmacology, pharmacogenomics and regulatory aspects pertaining to the development of drugs and biomedical devices.

Dr. Dixit has received a Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), Mumbai and a Ph.D. (Pharmaceutical Sciences), University of Cincinnati, USA. He has completed post-doctoral training at Vanderbilt University, USA and University of Western Ontario, Canada.
