Principal Scientist
Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Center

Heading Molecular Diagnostics development and Research at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Center. Have been in Oncology Research for the last decade and am committed and passionate about bringing research into patient care in the clinic. Have worked extensively with biomarkers on a range of different platforms from Immunohistochemistry, Real-time PCR, Next Gen Sequencing and Nanostring technologies. Have been a lead in developing molecular diagnostic tests in Breast cancer to identify set of patients likely to be responsive to specific treatments. Also experienced in working with in-vitro (mammalian cell lines) and in-vivo model (NOD-SCID and SCID mice) systems that can now provide a window into human physiology, generating fresh scientific insight and stimulating further experimental questions. Comfortable with data from multi-omics and informatics. I was centrally involved in building a team of scientists and clinicians interested in experimental medicine. Of particular value in addition to patents and publications in peer reviewed journals, is my breadth of working with different Cancer treating centers, with Medical oncologists, surgeons and pathologists who are interested in cancer research. Have also successfully lead and executed industry collaborative projects in oncology.
