Dr . Juhi Tayal is the Lead Biorepository at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre. She is an MD pathology by training and has had a decade and a half long association with Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi. She is best known for her excellence in developing the first hospital based Tumor biorepository in Northern India. She has not only made the repository self- sustainable but has also integrated a genomics lab and cell culture facility to pave way for the next generation biobanking. In alignment to the institutional mission of-“ Accelerating research to seek tommorow’s cure “, she’s currently supporting researchers from many prestigious academic institutes like Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB), Indraprastha Institute of Information and Technology ( IIIT-D), IIT-Ropar, National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (NICPR) ,CDRI Lucknow, and AIIMS . She’s also a member of ISBER (International society of Biological and Environmental repositories) and a member task force for setting up of national and commercial biobanks . She has also been appointed as technical expert for drafting standards for Biobanks by NABL. Her areas of academic interest include Oncopathology, Cancer Research and Biobanking.
