Professor Dr. Md Ruhul Amin received his MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) from MAG Osmani Medical College, Sylhet and Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Dhaka, Bangladesh. He started his early career as a Medical Officer/Lecturer at the Department of Anatomy and Forensic Medicine in different government hospitals/medical colleges of Bangladesh. Then he joined as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Endocrinology at Sir Salimullah Medical College & Hospital and later on promoted to Associate Professor and Professor of the same department. Before joining as BMRC Director, he was appointed as Professor of Endocrinology at Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh. Now, he is working as Director of Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC), Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Amin has made a good contribution in health research through his active participation in different research projects. His contribution in science is recognized by several high impact papers from reputed publishers. He holds member secretary position of different committees of BMRC including Scientific Review Committee, National Research Ethics Committee (NREC), Research Activity Committee, Executive Committee and Educational Activities Committee where he coordinates the activities of the committees and help in policy making regarding health-related issues.
