Dipanwita is the Grants Lead at the DBT Wellcome Trust India Alliance. She is based in Hyderabad, India. She has mastered both pre-award and post-award processes. Her experience in grant management has allowed her to play a key role in putting together new collaborative grants and clinical/public health research centre grants. She anchors the grants and fellowships schemes under the India Research Management Initiative. She has been collaborating with AAS on the Africa India Mobility Fund scheme and currently works on another international collaboration with Cancer Research UK and Department of Biotechnology, India. 

After obtaining a Masters’ degree in Microbiology, she completed her PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and went on to work on the host-pathogen relationship of a dental pathogen in Virginia Commonwealth University (U.S.), where she worked as a Research Scientist. Dipanwita has also worked as a postdoc at Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad; she transitioned into research management and administration when she joined India Alliance.
